Wat Buddharangsi of Miami
Wat Buddharangsri of Miami (Buddhist Temple) was incorporated as a non-profit 501(c) (3) religious organization on August 25, 1982. On August 7, 1986, we bought a house with 5 acres of land at 15200 SW 240 St, Miami, FL 33032 where we are currently located. On December 7, 1989, we were given an official zoning change to build our temple. The ground-breaking ceremony of placing the cornerstones was held on June 11, 1995. We were given the Miami Dade County CO (Certificate of Occupancy) for all five buildings on August 11, 2002. On June 18, 2003, we had our official grand opening for the public and also had about 125 monks from all over the United States and Thailand to perform a special declaration ceremony. Wat Buddharangsi has become a major center for Buddhism and Thai culture studies in Miami. We would like to thank all of the Buddhist community and our American friends who have helped us along the way. We couldn't accomplish this much without the help of so many people in the community. This year we will celebrate the temple's anniversary on Sunday, June 16 2019. The schedule is as follows:
